R1 RCM Insurance Verification Associate in Birmingham, Alabama

As our Insurance Verification Associate , you will help reduce financial risks for our hospital clients and their patients. Every day you will work onsite at one of our Birmingham hospitals cooperating with case managers and contacting insurance carriers to verify eligibility and coverage for patients at our hospitals in Birmingham, Alabama. To thrive in this role, you must be detail-oriented and accurate, self-motivated and team-oriented, and comfortable making outbound calls to insurance carriers.
Here’s what you will experience working as an Insurance Verification Associate:
Work through R1 Hub to review patient files and ensure insurance verification
Using various insurance websites and outbound calls when necessary, validate insurance coverage and authorizations
Complete electronic forms accurately to ensure clean claims
Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient information
Required Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent
Attentive customer service and professional communication, written and verbal
Computer literacy including fast and accurate typing skills and ability to navigate insurance portals and workflow hub
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $15.14 - $18.93 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
